Rhys, The Designer
John was given voluntary redundancy from AEI Cables (Gravesend) in 1991 and started a business in 1992, in partnership, which was originally known as EME 92 (European Marketing Enterprises). They specialised in making cable samples and gifts for exhibitions, for some of the UK’s large cable manufacturers.
A chance conversation with a member of John’s former employers, lead to an order for Trophies for the Bowls Section of their social club. Accounts were opened with some of the UK’s major trophy importers and a small display was made in the EME workshops. From this one encounter, a new business direction was launched.
Already having extensive knowledge of engraving metals and plastics, in 1996, John turned his attentions to Glass Engraving and sought the assistance of The Glass Scribe International, major importers, manufacturers and wholesalers to the trade. John passed his course with merit and has subsequently built on his range of glass and crystal, with the help and guidance of The Glass Scribe.
John is proud of the fact that he now has Affiliate status with The Glass Scribe and displays the huge range of glass and crystal on his own website. All the products on this website are linked directly to his supplier’s website and are shown with their current stock availability. John and his team embrace modern technology, along with old fashioned customer service.
John eventually bought out his partner and has grown his business, making increasingly more contacts with trophy suppliers and manufacturers. All Trophies, Medals, Trophy Cups and a variety of Gifts are available to buy online in the Shop. Gravesham Trophy Centre supplies bespoke Medals, Trophies and Awards for Corporate or Club presentations throughout the UK.
Gravesham Trophy Centre boasts their own showroom in Singlewell Road, with many hundreds of samples of traditional trophies and awards in traditional materials and the exciting medium of glass and crystal. Visitors can select in comfort, attended by experienced staff.
The Crystal Glass Engraver excels in the engraving of Corporate logos and Club crests. In addition to wording deep engraved to suit the occasion, Glass and Crystal awards are brought to life when engraved with a design. Your Club Crest or Corporate logo, either Deep Engraved or Photo-Engraved into crystal will add prestige to an otherwise mundane presentation. As a Glass Engraver in the UK, your glass and crystal awards will have undivided attention and be delivered on time, anywhere in the UK.
John and his team at The Crystal Glass Engraver are happy to supply a single piece for a special presentation – and are also geared up for mass production of trophies and awards. All orders receive the same level of care and effort, to ensure perfection and ‘on time’ delivery, to any UK address.
